“Anyone into noise in Toledo knows that Paracusis is not an easily-contained project. While previous releases have showcased Masonna-esque vocal destruction and cutting feedback, this track features methodical tape loop manipulations, sitting somewhere between Aaron Dilloway's controlled compositions and Evil Moisture's grotesque collages. Would sit well with Chocolate Monk heads.
P. Peltier is the unsung hero of Violent Pleasures, and fans will definitely recognize elements of that group's sound on this track, but this goes beyond that. Peltier brings so much to the table here: samples, brutal harshness, feedback, psychedelic synths, layers upon layers of sound that shift, sometimes abruptly, through distinct movements of sound. Dark and troubling.”
